Dreams of Flight (symphony for large orchestra) received its world premiere performances by conductor Francesco Lecce-Chong, leading the Eugene Symphony and the Santa Rosa Symphony. The two orchestras jointly commissioned this major new work as part of their ambitious First Symphony Project.


Violinist Maria Ioudenitch, violist Haesue Lee, and cellist Jean Kim presented the world premiere of Two Fantasies with performances in Athens, Berlin, and Madrid. The work was commissioned by the Curtis Institute of Music for its touring program, Curtis on Tour. Watch the first Madrid performance here.


Faithful to its mission to promote Romanian classical works, Lakeshore Chamber Music returned to White Bear Lake, Minnesota for a Feb. 2024 trio concert. Michael was joined onstage by clarinetist Gabriel Campos Zamora (Minnesota Orchestra) and bassoonist Julia Harguindey (Nashville Symphony, Santa Fe Opera) for a program of works by Romanian composers Paul Jelescu, Stan Golestan, Richard Oschanitzky, and Doina Rotaru, alongside music by Bartók, Piazzolla, and Bruch.
